I grew up in a small town in Southeast Missouri, moved to Memphis, TN for undergraduate (Rhodes College), taught English for a year at a college in China, then moved to College Station, TX for my Ph.D. at Texas A&M (Fightin’ Texas Aggies Class of 2021).
I enjoy playing music, baking breads, learning about cultures and languages, traveling, and a variety of outdoors activities. I'm deeply passionate about my faith and am very dedicated to my church. All this, and my interest in seeing people's lives made better, motivates my diverse research agenda.
See below for some pictures of my travels.
